Distributed Audio Systems

Distributed audio systems are designed to your exact needs.  The type of systems are either 70 volt or 8 ohm systems which is basically a stereo left and right channel for each zone.

70 Volt Systems

Pros

  • Long cable runs with minimal power loss
  • Individual speaker volumes
  • Wire many speakers off one wire
  • Typically less expensive option

Cons

  • x
    Reduced audio quality
  • Up to 20% power loss
  • Power limitations
  • Bass is filtered by transformer
  • Volume is limited

8 Ohm Systems

Pros

  • Dynamic control of speaker zones and volume levels
  • Excellent Sound Quality
  • Powerful audio performance
  • Unlimited power output potential

Cons

  • x
Each speaker has it’s own wire
  • Thicker speaker wire may be needed
  • Individual volume control challenges (need zone control for multiple zones)
  • Higher implementation costs
